A few weeks ago, Andrew talked about a restaurant called Home’s Kitchen. He highly recommended the place so I made him take me and my boyfriend there.

From beginning to end, the experience was amazing. Not only was the food the best I’ve ever tasted (probably), but the restaurant was the nicest I’ve been to in NYC. They redesign their little hole in the wall awhile ago and now it looks like a five start restaurant.

So Nyeo Shi Dae hasn’t completely dropped off the face of the earth. They’ve recently have become the faces of GoobNe Chicken. Their CF features them battling against each other for whatever reason. While their moves aren’t something that would win them a spot of America’s Best Dance Crew, they definitely reminded me of a bunch of flopping chickens. I guess this is what happens to the rejects.

Another year has passed and the MKMF awards are back with a few surprises. Throughout the night, there was a kiss between TOP and Hyori Lee (no big deal tbh) in addition to crying by several celebrities namely Changmin of DBSK. But the biggest surprise of all was not the performances nor the random events in between, but the awards. It was really surprising to hear who won what especially considering the year.

Rain recently performed for SBS Water Grand Awards only to be dissed hardcore.

In the middle of his “Rainism” performance, SBS cut off the music to go to a commercial. After some awkwardness, Rain politely bowing and walked off stage. Clouds became uber pissed and threatened to boycott SBS if they didn’t apologize. They just did yesterday (11/13) but blamed everything on technical issues. Yeah okay buddy. They’re hacks enough to film private footage of the Olympics but can’t handle a simple performance?

Despite of their apology, Rain has now turned the tables and cancelled his plans to perform for SBS Inkigayo on November 16. Seems like a game of my balls are bigger than yours. However, I can’t blame Rain. This isn’t the first time SBS has pushed him around: they previously banned his song “You” for being sexually explicit.

Is anyone feeling the winter spirit? I am! It’s really cold here in the East coast and it’s not getting any warmer. While I can’t wait for Christmas to come, I rather it just be summer year round.

This week will feature a few new MVs for the winter season in addition to previously mentioned MVs from fellow bloggers.

As always enjoy!

This past week, I had the opportunity to eat at a Japanese restaurant called Menchanko-Tei and boy was it yummy.

I was there with my boyfriend to eat with a friend who was 15 mins late! It was really hard not to eat without her since the room was completely filled with the aroma of ramen. Looking over the menu, most of the items were inexpensive; however, I felt like there wasn’t much of a selection. It mainly consisted of ramen where you could add multiple toppings.

Chan Wook-Park’s “Old Boy” is now making its way overseas to the US for a remake by Steven Spielberg and Will Smith. While I’m not a big fan of remakes, I’m actually looking forward to the movie.

In the 2003 Korean original, a man gets kidnapped and held in a shabby cell for 15 years without explanation. Suddenly, he’s released and given money, a cell phone and clothes and is set on a path to discover who destroyed his life so he can take revenge.

Currently, the duo is still in talks but hope to move forward with Smith as the lead. There is still no writer but hopefully they’ll stay true to the original story. Otherwise it wouldn’t be as good.

Halloween and the election, what a busy week! Since the election, I’ve been watching CNN and the Colbert Show religiously. I’m so happy that Obama won and can’t wait to see him in action. Btw did any of you guys vote?

Any who, here’s this week’s music round up with a new photo. I figured it was about time to change it up since this old one is so last season.

As always, enjoy.

The KPop diva has released new photos by Markus Klinko and Indrani of her new look for her US debut. To say the least, she’s hot.

It’s very different from her teenage years where she was the innocent Korean Dream Teen but now she’s all grown up shakin’ what her umma gave her. However her new look has sparked controversy as she is a bit too revealing by Korean standards. While it is a little more bootylicious than before, I think we’re past the part where she was still baby Boa. If you recall last year, she was spotted completely wasted on her 21st birthday and soon afterwards she became the Hite spokes model. Also, her clothes aren’t that revealing (or at all).

While some of us may never let go, Boa’s debut is taking a turn for the best as she was recently invited to perform her “Eat You Up” single for Ben Lyon’s (E! Panelist) birthday. Apparently the guy is a fan as he was seen posing with her in various photos.

Good to know the she’s doing better after a bad MV call. Btw, Happy Birthday Boa (22 by Korea calendar)!
